PAC Day by LSPR PAC Batch 19

On Wednesday, 6th December 2017 London School of Public Relations students from Performing Arts Communication major Batch 19 held its PAC Day at STIKOM London School of Public Relations Jakarta. This event was held with its aim introduced Performing Arts Communication major to LSPR students Batch 21 who will have their majoring day, because there are still some misperception about PAC. Students still don’t know what would they learn in PAC major.

Mrs. Renata Tirta Kurniawan as Dean of Campus B LSPR gave a speech before the event started at Prof. Dr. Djajusman Auditorium and Performance Hall. Previously, LSPR PAC played Sandiwara Radio from 19-1B class and it would be presented for theatre on February 2018 also it would be a screening on January 2018.

This event continued with a talkshow from Karina Syahna M.Ikom as  an alumni from LSPR PAC Batch 16 and Mr. Khiva Rayanka Iskak S.SI as a lecturer of Performing Arts Communication. They gave explanations what would students get & learned also opportunities if they choose Performing Arts Communication major.

Cooperation between LSPR and ZIBAT through Erasmus+ programme

For the second time, The London School of Public Relations of Jakarta and the Zealand Institute of Business and Technology / Denmark collaborated on the exchange of students and lecturers through the Erasmus + program. The agreement of the program was approved on October 12, 2017.

Mr. Rune & Mr. Poul from ZIBAT – Denmark, are giving workshop for LSPR Staff about Marketing Strategies & Planning.

This program was implemented for two years, starting from 2017 to 2019. This program can only be followed by a renowned university as well as with strict selection by Erasmus +.

The courses that will be in the exchanged programme between LSPR and ZIBAT are Business Administration and Economics. LSPR and ZIBAT will send 5 students for 5 months to study and lecturers to teach for 2 x 2 weeks.

Public Relations Technical Guidance of Secretariat DPRD Riau Island Province

Secretariat of Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah (DPRD) Riau Island Province held technical guidance of PR at di Hotel Comforta Tanjung Pinang. The technical guidance of PR was held during 3 days (11 – 13 December 2017) and officially opened by Husizar Hood, S.IP , Vice Chairman of the DPRD II Riau Islands Province.

In opening speech, Hood Husnizar said “Field of PR is one of the most important fields in this Secretariat of DPRD, because the Secretariat is directly related to the media, so that any activity on DPRD should know about it.”

Tuesday, November 21, 2017 – Communication study Program Universities ‘ Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta organizes public lectures PR field with the theme of “Effective Communication In Facing The Millenials: Digital Public Relations Perspective “. Public lectures PR, which is moderated by Raditia Yudistira Sujanto, M.A., –  Head of Study Programme Science Communication UNISA Yogyakarta and present speaker from the London School of Public Relations (LSPR) Jakarta, Rizka Septiana, S.Sos., M.Si., IAPR as Deputy Head of Media Relations, Corporate Reputation Department LSPR Jakarta and Executive Board of ASEAN Public Relations Network (APRN).

The event was opened with a welcome speech from Dr. Tri Hastuti Nur Rochimah, M.Si  as Dean of FEISHum. He delivered, “Important aspects related to corporate communications are effective communication, public relations part of Prodi communication science should be able to manage the information properly. The current public relations challenge was faced with the development of rapid information technology especially the online world, so the limits of human interaction space seems to be a little while. Human interaction is managed through one hand, namely utilization gadget for social media.”

Rizka Septiana as keynote speaker at this event states, “Currently lots of students  times now who has a social media account, even up to dozens of accounts with account numbers of millions of followers and formed a community called with buzzer. Many companies see this as an opportunity that could support their business. Then later on, many companies are utilizing the services of this promotional activity to buzzer/marketing and imaging activities to build positive reputation. “

The public lecture was attended by students from the communication of science courses from a variety of campus in Yogyakarta such as Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta, Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD), Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII), Universitas Mercu Buana Yogyakarta (UMBY), Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), dan Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). In addition, organizations of the profession of public relations Association of Young Perhumas Yogyakarta, and students program of management and public administration UNISA Yogyakarta also attended public lectures.

At the end of the event, all the participants totaling 140 students and professors gathered for chanting “today, Tomorrow, and forever … Indonesia Talk Good! “, as a form of support for the national campaign initiated by PERHUMAS Indonesia #IndonesiaBicaraBaik.

Jakarta, December 22, 2017 – In order to commemorate mother’s day, the Woman of Top Special with Prita Kemal Gani with the theme “Empowering Woman Through Leadership” was presented at Graha Rumah Sakit Pusat Pertamina. This event was over collaboration between London School of Public Relations-Jakarta and MRA Broadcast Media Division and in collaboration with the Rumah Sakit Pusat Pertamina.

“A mother has an important role in the development of character and mental of a child. Home is the first environment of the childr and interacts with the mother as the person closest to him and her. In the process, the child tends to duplicate what is seen and is also felt around her. A mother who is educated with good manners, certainly can educate his child as well. ” Mrs. Prita Kemal Gani, MBA, MCIPR, APR as the Founder and Director of the LSPR-Jakarta.

Kes, FICS, CCD which is a Special Orthopedi, and Dr. Endah Ronawulan, SP. KJ which is a physciatric Specialist. And this event was hosted by Prita Kemal Gani, MBA, MCIPR, APR (Founder & Director LSPR – Jakarta) and Rosemary Fika (Program Director of Radio Brava).

Participants of the Woman on Top Special present not only to listen to the success story of Dr. Linda and Dr. Endah, but able to interact directly with the speaker. The trace record both speakers very spacious and boast, as does Dr. Linda is the recipient of an award from MURI as Indonesia’s first female doctor of Specialist Orthopedi & Traumatology. While Dr. Endah ever become part of the team psychiatrist who helps restore victims of tsunami in Aceh from the Ministry of health and WHO in December 2005, and is also active in writing articles or conducting related research of mental health.

This seminar related to the upcoming event of ASIAN Games, because LSPR Jakarta got the opportunity to LSPR students to join the broadcast legacy internship program. Only LSPR Jakarta and 4 other universities got the opportunity to join the broadcast legacy internship program for ASIAN games 2018.

London School Radio is back for the New Year with its Kongkow Bareng Special at the cafetaria Campus B. The event was held on January 9,  2017 during lunch break.  The Special Guests invited to this event was a younger singer and a song writer named Rio Riezky.

Rio Riezky has just issued a single titled, “Kursi Sebelah”. The single was the second single after the “Sutradara”. In addition, there are also other singles such as “Kisah Tak Tentu Arah” and “Nyaman”.

Seminar Day for Students Majoring LSPR Batch 21 was held from 10-11 January 2018 in Prof. Dr. Djajusman Auditorium and Performance Hall, Campus B The London School of Public Relations – Jakarta . The seminar was divided into two sessions namely morning session which started at 09.00 and during the day at 12.30. Seminar Day Majoring is a seminar that aims to help students to be more convinced by the concentration that they would choose to study at the LSPR will begin in semester 3 later.

The seminar opened with a greeting from the Dean of Campus LSPR which started from Campus A by Mr. Alexander Mamby Aruan, M.Si, Campus B by Ms. Renata Tirta Kurniawan, and Campus C by Dr. Janette Mary Pinariya MM, where they introduced and briefly explain all the concentration that owned each campus.The seminar was followed by  the Founder and Director of the LSPR Jakarta, Mrs. Prita Kemal Gani, MBA, MCIPR,  APR. In her presentation she explains about the new campus The LSPR TransPark Juanda Jakarta and also gave further explanation about all of the facilities that will be obtained by the student in the new building.

In the year 2018, LSPR Jakarta has had the addition of a new concentration such as, Business Studies, Hospitality Management Communication & Mice, Entrepreneurship and Business Communication, and Mass Communication which turned into a Mass and Social Media Communication with two concentrations, namely Digital Film Making and Photography and Broadcast Journalism.

Where, the campus will be a campus for the concentration of Mass Media and Social Communication, Performing Arts Communication, Digital Media and Advertising, Business Studies, Hospitality Management Communication & Mice, Entrepreneurship and Business Communication. LSPR 4C Held Go 4Green Workshop

On Friday, January 12, 2018, LSPR 4C (Climate Change Champions Club) held a workshop in theme: “The importance of maintaining our ecosystem with speakers”. This event took place at Prof. Dr. Djajusman Auditorium & Performance Hall, Campus B STIKOM LSPR Jakarta. LSPR 4C invited two speakers, they were Dini as representative from #SEASOLDIER and Elok Sahar as Runner Up 2 Putri Bahari 2017.

Go4Green Workshop to saving our coral and mangrove

In this opportunity, Dini encourage LSPR students to not throw any garbage to the sea and damaging the sea coral, because Indonesian marine has been damaged by garbage. Elok Sahar as Runner Up 2 Putri Bahari 2017 shared her experiences and role as Putri Bahari. Moreover, Elok also gave awareness about Indonesian marine biota which must be protected by every Indonesians.

Major PR Workshop Show Up “A Peek Inside PR”

On Tuesday, January 16, 2018. PR Major Show Up has been held at LSPR Jakarta campus A. The aim of this workshop is to give more knowledge about the PR itself as well as the form of PR promotion to the students of LSPR batch 21 in choosing the major later.

The speaker is also a selected student from Batch 19 and Batch 20 from the PR students itself. There are two speakers who participated in this workshop. The first speaker is Stephanie Cecilia of class 19 because she ever became a representative of LSPR at the University of Indonesia.The second speaker is Fidelia Susanti from batch 20. She’s the representative of her PR project team because her team was selected as Best of The Best PR Project.

After the two speakers finished their presentation, they open the questions and answers session related to PR. At the end of workshop, the participants divided into 3 groups and they have got 10 minutes to prepare their presentation before showing it. Then each of group presented it briefly in front of the other participants with the topic which they had chosen and were judged by the speakers.

LSPR 1st Media Festival

For the first time, the students of Mass Communication and Digital Media and Advertising major Batch 19 and 20 held a event called “Media Festival”. The event was held for three consecutive days, from 16-18 January 2018. This event is a collaboration that aims to showcase the results of the work of the students in the form of Short films, Photo Story, posters and Creative Advertising.

Exhibition of student work in the form of Photo Story, Posters and Creative Advertising were display around on the cafeteria and the second floor of the campus B. While, for the Short Film Screening It was held at Prof. Dr. Djajusman Auditorium and Performance Hall. Each student gets a chance vote for his or her most favorite film.

Speakers for the seminar on the first day was Mr. Yuliandre Darwis, as The Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) Chairman and Mr. Rommy Fibri as the Indonesian Film Censorship Board (LSF) Spokeperson. Speakers explained about the “Behind the Scenes of TV Censorship”. They also explained the difference in duties and responsibilities of the KPI and LSF. This Seminar was moderated by Mrs. Dhita Widya Putri , M. Si

Then, on the second day of the seminar it was moderated by Ms. Aprida Sihombing, M. Si with Mr.Reza Setiawan as Personal Branding Columnis. He gave a seminar on “Social Media as Personal Branding”. At present, social media has considerable influence, against other people’s judgment for ourselves.

The last day of the seminar was closed by the seminar on “Elements of a Success Advertising Campaign” with the speaker Mr. Jazry Laotong as Account Director, Leo Burnett Group Indonesia and moderated by Dr. JA Wempi M.Si. Mr. Jazry Laotong closing seminar with the statement “To make a successful advertising campaign and you need to figure out your goal.”

Yan Daryono’s “Jangan Menyerah” Book Launching

On Saturday, January 20th the book launching for Yan Daryono’s newest book entitled “Jangan Menyerah” was held at Prof. DR. Djajusman Auditorium and Performance Hall, Campus B The London School of Public Relations Jakarta. The event was held from 09.00 – 12.00 p.m.

Mrs. Prita Kemal Gani, MBA, MCIPR, APR gave congratulations to book launching for Yan Daryono’s entitled “Jangan Menyerah”

The event was opened by a video profile of Mr. Yan Darsono. From his childhood, education, career life especially his career as a journalist and writer, and the achievements that he already have up until now. The event then continued with a video greetings from Mr. Chairul Tanjung who shared his experience in knowing Mr. Yan Daryono in person and also to congratulate him for the launching of his new book. After that, it was continued by the greetings from Mrs. Prita Kemal Gani MBA, MCIPR, APR as the Founder and Director of LSPR Jakarta and also sister of Mr. Yan Darsono then soon followed by the inauguration of the book launching that was marked by the signing ceremony by Mr. Yan Darsono, Mrs. Prita Kemal Gani MBA, MCIPR, APR., and Mrs. Nova Rosdiana as the Publisher of the book.

The book launching then continued by a book discusion session with Mr. Yan Darsono, and Mrs. Nova Rosdiana publisher. In this session Mr. Yan Darsono shared that the book’s storyline was inspired by his own life story and experience and that he wanted to deliver the spirit of fighting to not giving up so easily in life but also to not forcing ourselves too much through this book to his readers, the discussion session also invited some of Mr. Yan’s friends to share their experience and testimonials of knowing Mr. Yan personally.

After the book session was done, the launching then continued with a birthday celebration for Mr. Yan who celebrates his birthday on the same day as the book launching, photo session and finally a book signing by Mr. Yan for the audience. (Natashya)

Sharing session in 2018 together with parents of students from Batch 20 and management of LSPR Jakarta was held at Prof. Dr.Djajusman Auditorium & Performance Hall. Sharing Session of batch 20 was divided into two sessions at 10.00 and 15.00. The event was opened by the show from the LSPR Senior Band, presented some songs and then continued with the announcement of the door prize winners.

LSPR 4C GO PLANT 2018

LSPR 4C and Ancol Aston Marin work together to carrying out coral and mangrove planting activity on 20 January 2018 in Pulau Pramuka, Kepulauan seribu. LSPR 4C and Hotel Aston Marina has done this activity by planting 1,000 coral and mangrove together.

Ms. Vicky Sihombing, Club Coordinator LSPR 4C stated “We must continue to keep the ecosystem in Indonesia and contribute in protecting the coastline of Indonesia with down directly”. Then, Mr. Paundra Hanutama, as Marketing Manager of Hotel Aston Marina, stated “This is the first time the activity Hotel Aston Marina teamed with LSPR 4C, we hope for this kind of activity can continue because it is a real action to contribute to the preservation of the reefs and mangroves “.

Coral planting by LSPR 4C

LSPR 4C has successfully planted coral and mangrove total of 26,600 until the year 2016. The purpose of LSPR 4C partners with Hotel Aston Marina to invite to participate contribute in protecting the coastline of Indonesia especially in the thousand islands due to damage to the coast at Jakarta and the reduced number of marine ecosystems result waste are more accumulating. Corals have primary function in protecting the beach from erosion of funds abrasion. In addition the mangroves can also prevent the occurrence of the intrusion of sea water into the mainland.

LSPR 4C (Climate Change Champions Club) is a community in LSPR that focuses on environmental issues. For the past 8 years, LSPR 4 c have many activities, such as tree planting, cultivation of coral, mangrove tree planting, cleaning the city, held a seminar on environmental issues, the campaign of the movement “No Plastic and Styrofoam”, Earth Hour, and more.
